my story

process

I AM multidisciplinary artist currently based in Austin, Texas. MY work operates at the intersection of photography, sound, drawing, and the written word. Interested in the world’s tendency toward chaos and the inherently violent nature of industry and nature, I examine the dissonance found in unusual constellations of objects, landscapes, and urban environments, reflecting the aleatory randomness that can give way to new meaning.

With a synesthetic, spontaneous and multimedial approach to this process, the focus of my work centers on capturing the first emergence of this sensation that’ll eventually give way to new meaning wherever it occurs in the every day: Objects suffused with moods in a particular light, structures having lost their original purpose, vacant environments, random juxtapositions of textures, collages of colors and categories, and traces of human creation and engineering.

An ongoing investigation of spaces, objects, and environments and the friction created by pushing them beyond familiarity. The visual work examines the dissonances found in unusual constellation of objects, landscapes, and urban environments, reflecting the inherent randomness that can give way to new meaning. Drawing & Visual Art

An exploration of geometric patterns and the relation of shapes. These works are produced through a technique rooted in the surrealist tradition of automatic writing; allowing compositions to emerge as a direct, unmediated response to internal and external input. COMING SOON >
